There are few places on earth that deliver on their postcard quite like the Maldives. A scattering of more than a thousand coral islands across the Indian Ocean, each resort sits on its own private island — which means the moment your seaplane touches down, the rest of the world simply falls away.
We match you to the right island for the way you travel: barefoot-luxury hideaways for honeymooners, house-reef snorkelling for divers, and generous family villas with kids’ clubs and lagoon pools. Whatever you choose, expect warm turquoise water, powder-white sand, and a pace set entirely by you.
Trip highlights
Your own overwater villa
Wake to glass-clear lagoon beneath your deck, slip straight into the water from your private steps, and watch the sun set from your own plunge pool.
House reefs & marine life
Snorkel with reef sharks, turtles and the occasional manta ray, often just metres from your villa. We pick islands with the healthiest reefs for the season you travel.
Dining that surprises
Underwater restaurants, sandbank dinners for two, and private beach barbecues under a sky thick with stars — arranged quietly in advance.
A sample journey
A starting point, never a script — every day flexes around how you like to travel.
- Day 1
Arrival by seaplane
Met at Malé and transferred by private or shared seaplane — a flight that is half the experience — to your island. Settle in, toes in the sand by sundown.
- Days 2–5
Lagoon days
Slow mornings, house-reef snorkelling, a spa treatment over the water, and dinners that move from sandbank to beach to candlelit deck.
- Days 6–7
Adventure or stillness
A dolphin cruise, a dawn fishing trip, or simply nothing at all. We build in flexibility so the trip flexes to your mood.
- Day 8
Homeward
A final swim before your seaplane back to Malé and onward flight — or extend with a few nights in Dubai or Sri Lanka en route.
When to go
Nov – Apr
Dry season — the classic choice. Sunny, calm seas, best underwater visibility. Book early for peak December and Easter.
May – Oct
Greener season with short tropical showers and the best value. Manta and whale-shark sightings peak around the southern atolls.
